The Mayfield Community

The Mission of Mayfield Homes has always been to promote quality housing at a quality price with reliable and consistent customer service. We are committed to each community we encounter and strive each year to be a proactive partner with our customers. We believe in giving back to the local communities by building walking trails in county parks and taking an active role in local schools by donating items to elementary schools to reward children who strive for academic excellence. Our tradition of giving and sharing has benefited those in need through special projects that educate, enlighten and enrich us all. The needs are diverse. The rewards are immeasurable.

WILKERSON MILL PARK HOMES FOR WOUNDED HEROES

On May 26th 2005 we officially broke ground on a new house in Wilkerson Mill Park in Palmetto, but this was no ordinary house.  It is being custom adapted to fit the needs of a very honorable man.  Ret. Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Tracy Jones was injured in Iraq leaving him without the use of his arms or legs.  With the financial support of The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes, Mr. Jones and his wife Johnnie chose to build a house in our neighborhood.  Click here to learn more.

HOMEAID AND TAPESTRY YOUTH MINISTRIES

Partnered with HomeAid Atlanta, Tapestry Youth Ministries, The Knight Group and Fulton County, we have begun renovation of a 6000 square foot house on Hobgood Road in South Fulton.  This house will become the home for underpriveleged teenage single mothers and thier children.  We will be able to house up to six young women, giving them the opportunity to raise thier children in a safe and healthy environment as well as provide them with guidance in becoming an active and resposible member of thier respective communities.

GIVING HOUSE

Mayfield Homes is proud to have taken part in the "Giving House ".  Proceeds from this home constructed in Chestnut Lake subdivision went to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.  Each year, many people are diagnosed with Crohn's Disease or Ulcerative Colitis. These diseases have affected many of our friends and especially family members. There is no cure for Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis and we hope our participation helps doctors take closer steps to finding a cure.

CAUGHT BEING GOOD

As a member of the school board at Liberty Point Elementary in Union City, Sean Doughtie is well aware of the roles that the community plays in the development of our youth.  In an effort to aid in that development Mayfield Homes has initiated the “Caught Being Good” program.  Through the efforts of Mayfield and the educators at Liberty Point 10 bikes have been awarded to children who have displayed exceptional leadership, kindness and a commitment to their education.

WILKERSON MILL PARK JOGGING TRAIL

Wilkerson Mill Park located in the city of Palmetto, directly across the street from Wilkerson Mill Farris Park. This park is a part of the Fulton County Parks and Recreation System.  When we decided to build this beautiful 1 – 4 acre lot community we felt it was essential to give back to the local community by building a 1⁄4 mile walking trail as a part of the Fulton County Park System.  This walking trail is open to all visitors of the park and provides a peaceful recreation space where you can enjoy all the beauty of the city of Palmetto.

LIBERTY POINT GAZEBO

Mayfield Homes with the help of Wheelers’ Building Supply, has donated a gazebo to Liberty Point Elementary in Union City.  This outdoor learning space is located in the courtyard of this beautiful school.  Mayfield Homes is very proud of the efforts of both teachers and students at Liberty Point and it is our honor to be able to give back to the community.
